Giving Machines
Challenge: Demonstrate the aftermath of donating at one of the Giving Machines this Christmas season.
Strategy: People are more likely to donate when they have confidence that their donations make a difference.
Target Audience: 25-35-year-olds, young professionals unaware of opportunities for service.
Big Idea: Show the reactions of little kids to the public’s donations.
This video has been my favorite I have made! My goal was to show participants how service can impact others. The LDS Giving Machine is a fantastic way to give something to another who is less fortunate. It brought me lots of joy making this spot and being able to work with kids. The backpack and toys in this spot were actually given to the two Brazilian boys, so the reactions when they open the box are real.
Fun Fact: Because I couldn’t put the camera inside the vending machine in the first scene, I created the atmosphere and movement of the vending machine (and the rings) in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop.
